I started a new job a couple weeks ago. I had been at my old job for almost 25 years. In December they offered me a buyout, kind of like early retirement. I took the offer even though I’m still too young to afford to retire. Believe me, this buyout was no golden parachute, but it bought me a few months of survival while I looked for a new job.
