AHDI Website Makeover Coming Soon!

You’ve spoken and we listened. We often hear it’s hard to find things on AHDI’s website. Coming in early May, you’ll find a new and improved AHDI website. This isn’t simply a new coat of paint, so to speak, but a complete reorganization of the content, added functionality, and more advanced technology. Our goal is simple: Providing you with a website that will be your number one professional resource.

Although the website is still under construction, we wanted you to get an advance peek at what you’ll find in early May. Following the launch, we will be asking for feedback so we can continue to make improvements to enhance your online experience.

Featured Webinar: Best Practices in Speech Recognition Technology

Join us to explore healthcare documentation best practices in the setting of speech recognition technology—how to make this technology work to our greatest advantage. For our role in documenting patient care, there is a distinct contrast to traditional transcription, necessitating a skillset shift from the constant motion of expert typing to the more analytical, immediate identification and correction of the inevitable flaws in speech recognized text. Human intervention is necessary because of like sounds in the English language as well as the arrays of dialects and speech patterns. This presentation offers definitions of that intervention in fine detail.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand how the technology of speech recognition works.
  2. Understand the impact we have on how well the technology works.
  3. Know how to determine what to edit and when to edit in recognized drafts.
  4. Embrace skillset shift from traditional transcription to editing of recognized drafts.
  5. Develop strategies for the best balance of complete accuracy and top productivity.

Presenter: Criss Spoto
Date: April 29, 2015
